🚨 BREAKING: Jordan Henderson has accepted Al Ettifaq proposal. There’s verbal agreement in principle. Contract agreed.

Deal now depends on Liverpool and Al Ettifaq discussing on the fee, no chance to let him leave for free 🇸🇦

Hendo spoke to Klopp today and there’s green light.

I guess it makes sense for him but I can’t stand seeing the captain go.

    Fuck.

If true… Can only imagine he didn’t get enough assurance from Klopp about game time, Southgate said he is still in the England team, and he prefers money over the causes he has championed (and whose representatives are outraged)

He’s also done everything he can for the club and won everything there is to win. He’s a club legend.

Not every day you get an offer to triple your salary either, especially at the end of your career.

No, I can understand the decision. And I’ve been a big fan of him for years — defending him at the bar I go to nearly every week cause some have never got him. Great captain, won everything with us, and done so much off the pitch.

But he has championed LGBTQI+ in sports. And this feels like a slap in the face to them (Kops out have already spoken out about this). A legend for the club but tarnishing his overall reputation.

And I’d also prefer it have happened earlier so Klopp could have his replacement ready for the Germany camp.

I see your points, but he could also be going there feeling he can help to make a change there. I feel it’s unlikely, but who knows? Even if he’s able to make a small impact, then it’s a good decision?

That is probably what he js telling himself. I hope it’s true, but sceptical. We still need those representatives in the PL though (there’s still no openly gay player in the PL, to my knowledge).

Ah well, I agree with you about everything he has done for the club. Best of luck to him, Im just disappointed.
