I’ve never been to NYC but I’m pretty sure I’ve had this experience somehow anyway. It also sounds absolutely fantastic right now. Much better than the sad vegan pizza in my freezer.

New York doesn’t have the greatest pizza in the world, but it does have a much better average than most cities. Boston’s Regina’s winds up on the top of a lot of, “Best Pizza in the Country,” lists, and sure, Regina’s is better than any pizza I’ve had in NYC. But most the other pizza places in Boston are average to bad. If I walked into a random pizzeria in New York or a random pizzeria in Boston, odds are I’m getting a way better slice in New York.

New York pizza surely looks better than the sad cardboard that passes as food throughout most of the US. Now, if you want the best pizza in the entire world, come to São Paulo - even traditional, grandma-made Italian pizza can’t compete.

Unpopular opinion: New York Pizza is greasy trash.

It’s barely better than a gas station pizza.

You want good pizza, you won’t find it in the US. Real Italian pizza is worlds above anything the Americans make. And I’m American.
