This will be forgotten as soon as there’s another post about Israel.

not much use when states can already buy that information from data brokers, collected by period apps.

Unless you’re being privacy-minded in the first place and don’t use those services.

There’s most certainly a point to trying to keep people’s medical records secure, despite all the negative mindset around here.

I belong to pretty big health care system in a pretty big US city with a big insurance provider and I’ve never even been encouraged to use one of these apps. Let alone use one.

Might not be as common as you think.

i dont think healthcare encourages the use of these, but regular people do use them to keep track

Every layer of protection is good. Even if it’s not enough in itself the more layers you have the better. It’s what you can build future legislation off of. Sure Republicans are hell bit on taking our right of privacy away as much as they can, but if you give them little bits of it because of apathy they’re going to end up getting it all. Have to hang on to every shred we can while we can

Just have the doctor write down you had a big vaccine removed from you.

Republicans used to be all about health privacy when it came to vaccine status.

But now Republicans want access to all health data for pregnancies or sexuality.

It’s a step, but only a small one. Still need to do the same for transition related care. And immigrants. And move to require warrants. In fact, there’s no legitimate reason to hand these kinds of records over to law enforcement in the first place
