Fun fact: Canada made a bunch to sell to China’s nationalist government. But they lost the civil war, retreated to Taiwan, and couldn’t buy them. So Canada had a stockpile to work through. Afaik.

I don’t know much about specific guns and their individual flaws, but I can’t imagine there is much to improve upon at least with the more stable gun models in the past few decades. If it’s old but still works why waste money? It will kill people just fine…
