Damnit that’s a good one.
That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death may die.
An important quibble here, it’s not “AI” that is taking jobs. It is Capitalism replacing workers with something that is lower cost* for dubious long-term benefit.
*Lower Cost in the Labor accounting but very possibly higher operational costs.
This is kind of the plot of one of Terry Pratchett’s books.
