Aka /yourdudes/. A huge part of the hobby is creating stories and lore. It can be about your army, a large group of factions, or smaller stories like a single model that gained elevated status.

Let’s rap about all these cool interesting stories.

I have a draft that I will absolutely finisj some day about an Astartes chapter that primarily deploys alongside Guard and occasionaly Navy forces, not as separate force that comes in, wrecks shit, refuses to elaborate and leaves, but integrated (and to a degree intermingled) with their personell.

They’d serve not just as shock troops like the Astartes usually do, but also as defensive resources and morale boosters, zealously embracing the divinity of the God-Emperor and their own nature as His holy warriors. Besides Warfare, they’d be trained in rhetorics, the Ecclesiastical canon, their Librarians focused on divination and biomancy (particularly restorative) powers to further cement their perception as saints.

Their progenitor is unknown and the rumours that they’re sons of Lorgar are entirely unfounded and pure blasphemy.

Morale boostering marines are an interesting concept. A lot of conversion possibilities for them, as well as making matching guard forces aesthetically.

I have an old metal chaos dreadnought I called lucky. I took a screw and a screwdrove it into it in a place it would bite. It made a cool smooth Shiney effect that I thought of as a meltagun shot that didn’t quite penatrate.

I’m in the process of gathering a custom Necron dynasty named Iataret (though I’m on hiatus right now lol). Its thing is that it’s fairly isolated and mostly keeps to several worlds; on their crownworld and around temples offworld, they cultivate specific flowers known as “Iataret flowers”.

The backstory is that, during the Necrontyr days, one of their early phaerons had a daughter that died very young. So, the phaeron have issued an order to plant her favourite flower all over the planet in her memory. In time, this has become a regular tradition to plant and care for those flowers.

After the biotransference, the original story of these flowers has been forgotten, but these Necrons still remember that they are important for some reason and continue to care for them.

I really like this. The forgotten aspect of the ritual speaks to the tone I appreciate in 40k.

In the previous version of Kill Team, I had a Chaos Cultists manage to shoot the head off a space marine with his shotgun. This was in a Chaos Marines team, where they were just meant as cannon fodder.

In my homebrew, he is what started the rebellion that my Blooded team in the current version of Kill Team represents. He showed that anyone can take down a corpse emperor worshipping giant riot cop, and now his planet is finally rising up for freedom ✊

Excellent. I have a specific guard infantry model that took down a Tau stealtg suit 1 v 1 in Kill Team, so he gets to be a Sergeant in the lore.
