Headline on RT. At this point, he should just become their star Anchor.

What counts as “official”? Russian state media has been singing his praises for years, and he recently sat down with putin himself to let him spew his bullshit about the war. There’s really nothing that distinguishes him from “official” Russian media besides the fact that he isn’t russian.

I assume it’s indirect benefits rather than receiving checks directly from the Kremlin, but yeah I’m pretty sure he’s getting something.

I love it. Tucker used to have an enormous platform he’d share with knuckleheads. But his platform has gone from a stadium act to a tent revival.

And it’s not because he was fascist, it’s because Rupert Merdoch traded Tucker’s whole career to get a discount on the Dominion settlement.

Dugin is no one’s “brain”. He’s just a mouthpiece. Putin does not cite from Dugin, he cites from Ivan Ilyin, one of the people Dugin copy/pasted many of his ideas from. Dugin has no original ideas, he adds nothing new to other people’s work.

Dugin was the untouchable son of an elite KGB officer, who, in his teens, got into the habit of flexing his privilege by professing edgy positions that would land anyone else in the gulag (like “National Bolshevism”, a Nazi-Communist fusion), and eventually built a brand from this. He was 4chan before there was a 4chan.

I’ve learned about this guy from the QAA podcast. Checked his wikipedia entry and confirmed: Hyperborean Theory

As best as I recall, he promotes some alternate-history bullshit to give Russians a more heroic role in the world.
