Evans is a well-known crank in West Virginia, known for his involvement in the Stop the Steal movement and his years spent harassing Black Lives Matter protesters and clinic escorts and patients outside the state’s lone abortion clinic in Charleston. No one seemed to think the 39-year-old challenger could bump off Miller, who is facing no other primary opponents.
I seriously need to change my party affiliation here to a Republican so I can vote against these cranks in the primaries. I hate the pearl-clutching Carol Miller (and her used-car salesman son who’s running for governor) , but I’d vote for her in the primary in a heartbeat to keep this scumbag / traitor / insurrectionist off the November ballot.
It really sucks what we have to choose from. We have Manchin, who is basically a Democrat in name only, Republicans, and then those Republicans. And the ironic part is, these shitty politicians were exactly who our grandfathers and great grandfathers were fighting against all the time. Everyone says this is a live-and-let-live area until they disagree with their neighbors choices. It’s hypocritical as fuck and only serves as a way to escape criticism about themselves.
There needs to be a moratorium on calling these insurrectionists “rioters”.
Trump calls them patriots.
Don’t we have a rule against insurrectionists holding office??
