Is there a way to subscribe to a post/comment of others to get notifications for new comments? If it’s currently not available, is it being worked on?

I know rss works but not sure about base lemmy.
If you use RSS feeds, there is. There are services that provide RSS feeds for Lemmy posts. You can subscribe to those and get an update whenever any comment is made on the post.
