My main thought is that suggesting your god’s words to his final prophet need to be looked at within the context of a historical lens makes no sense.
Why would Allah’s words not be timeless? Shouldn’t Allah’s words make as much sense to a seventh century Arab as it would to someone living on Mars in 200 years’ time?
My thought is … why engage?
A major waste of time.
I could, but why bother. Is there seriously any chance of you changing their mind or of their changing yours? Let them have their metaphors and their poetry, let them confuse reason with faith, evidence with allusion.
