The Orville did it, with comical effect as the (obvious analogue to) Klingons end up requesting hundreds of cigarettes from their replicator.

I mean… Some of the issues addictions cause are from an inability to get more, the constant seek/high cycle… Replicator would indeed make it easier to be a functional drug addict!

Hi Dr. crusher, I’m back for my magical cure me of physical addiction jab to the neck?

Goddamit Geordi, it’s the third time this week.

Done blame me. Those ferengi have some crazy ass holosuite programs these days?

Ugh, can’t you just be more like riker and get your horn honked in those things? Alien clap is so much simpler to cure.

We all have our kinks doc. I can engineer a threesome between you, Picard and Jack. Picards flute is an extra 10 Latinum though.

“Make it a jumbo flute for 20 Latinum.”

“I’ll see what I can do”

See, when I first started watching tng in the nineties this was not what I imagined I’d be reading a couple decades later.

Same here cap. I don’t even know where that came from. I just started writing and a few minutes later came to, thought about how fucked up my mind is, and hit reply.

          😐

The replicator would give you a version with synthoids instead of real stuff to give you a mild high and without being addictive. People will complain endlessly how it’s not like the real thing.

I think that was the usual pain med they use for everything, he just got the full amount loaded when he fell on the hypospray.

Black tar heroin is predominantly 6-monoacetylmorphine, making it more potent than pure heroin, which has to be metabolized before it is particularly active

Your reminder that Replicators remove the harmful and addictive properties of requests, such that alcohol is synthetic and doesn’t get you drunk.
