I remember this song because my sister owned this album. Listened to it a while back and back when it came out I was pretty young so I never noticed. “I’m driving like I’m black” is a wild line.
The actual line is “I’m driving, black on black”. I think it’s meant to mean at night without headlights on.
I thought it was black tires on asphalt roads: black on black.
Could be that too.
