That’s something I didn’t need. Warning for everyone who has nsfw enabled and pictures unblurred. Block to not get assaulted with gore and stuff.

    When you see these kinds of communities or posts, report them. We deleted /c/gore

      So anything gorey is prohibited in these instances?

          Ours = lemmy.world?

          I tried to look for it through https://browse.feddit.de/ but no results appeared. So I guess it’s banned across the whole Fe…was it called Fediverse? (still new stuff for me)

            Yes, I mean LW - the one where you and I are on

            Edit: I think most instances don’t want to deal with the legal issues that might come out of communities like that.

              Okay. Well, I could guess that such material might create some problems…

      How do you report a community again?

        You can’t flag a community but you can flag a post or comment in that community and go from there. Use the three dots under a comment or post and click on the flag icon to report.

    Thank you, and for the love of god do not browse if you don’t like extreme gore. I made the mistake so you don’t have to.

    Just saw that too. It’s beyond me why is such a community even exists. Who wants to see that kind of thing?

      I remember being a youth and going to rotten.com in my dorm room with a group of friends for the purpose of being shocked and disturbed. Shock content has its place. It’s not something people want to see everyday, but as it’s own dark corner of the web.

      That said, Lemmy/kbin need to have an /all with NSFL content filtered out. I don’t want to see that stuff in my daily scrolling.

      Lots of folks, I believe!

      This gorey material once helped me getting over one specific negative work experience that made a nasty impact in my life. I am thankful for that notion and I personally would love to see Reddit’s eyeblech arrive in here! (I just don’t know is it against the rules to have gore in these instances)
