M1 Garand is still popular, as a ping machine
So for a left-handed shooter, the M1 Garand is the only good one?
They are usable left handed. There is no issue at all with looking down the sights. The bolt action is slightly more awkward to operate quickly, but not insurmountable.
The M1 carbine, is like the M1 Garand also semi-auto, making it equal in regard follow-up shot speed. (Actually probably functionally faster because it is more controllable).
Enfield No. 4 - theater mode
Yes, that one is strange enough that I looked it up. I believe the chart may be mistaken. Based on some internet skimming it looks like that’s actually an Enfield No. 1 Mk 5 rear sight, like this:
The No. 4 series seemed to start with a peep to ladder sight like this:
They look like fancy can openers
That would look more like this:
