Not sure I’m going to post text for this since these get pretty long and have a lot of dynamic content on the page.
Anyways, read away and discuss!
Finally some good fucking food
In Season 22 and beyond:
- Tangle cooldown reduced from 15 to 12
- Suspend uptime being reduced (really hoping they don’t nerf it to the ground)
- Wanderer Aspect getting buffs
- Some under performing Grenades getting cooldowns adjusted
- Hand cannons get 20% buff to minors and 75% buff to majors. No reverting to pre-Shadowkeep crits.
- Handcannon reload stat getting buffed by 15% when stat is at 0
- NEW Handcannon Frame: Heavy Burst Handcannon. Warden’s Law returning as first in this class.
- Substantial Glaive tuning pass coming. (Season 23)
- Specific changes coming to class specific exotic glaives
- PVP nerf to Le Monarque
- Buff to Touch of Malice
- Tweaks to Legendary perks: Bipod, Shoot to Loot, and Under Over
Other notes:
- Season 22 is done. Season 23 in production. Final Shape is in Early Production (Edit: apparently this is specifically talking about weapon tuning timelines).
- Bungie wants more interactions between exotic armor and weapons
- New catalyst coming for an old exotic in Season 22. Highly requested and is the most complex they’ve done yet.
Wow some actual HC love, it’s been too long. Still wish they would just revert the Shadowkeep crit nerf
This quote from the post is important:
Note that Hand Cannons have been touched several times over the past few years, and the current PvE damage numbers mean that compared to pre-Shadowkeep they currently deal roughly the same damage per crit, and almost double the body damage. Reverting to Shadowkeep numbers would be a substantial nerf for anyone who ever misses a crit, which we’re not planning to do.
Hand cannons are basically where they used to be, and they’re going to be buffed beyond that in multiple ways next season. Sounds awesome!
Finally, we can use a hand cannon after what, nearly 4 years?
If champions are included in the 75% change, lucky pants might get even crazier for higher end content, which should be a ton of fun.
Love Touch, so I’m stoked for that. HC buffs are exciting, I hope they feel good finally. Also curious to see the strand changes; suspend is 100% too powerful, but I hope they don’t destroy it.

Any guesses on what they are referring to here:
we’re making an Exotic catalyst for an older Exotic weapon in S22, and this is one that’s been heavily requested, and is likely the most complex catalyst we’ve ever made.
This might be wishful thinking, but I hope it’s Monte Carlo. It’d be amazing if the bayonet could work like a glaive!
Damn, that sounds awesome! Setting me up for disapointment (are you my dad?)
Wish Ender? Please let it be Wish Ender.
Curious to see whatever it is; this sounds exciting!

We feel these special connections between Exotics are best when they are rare and a little bit hidden. That being said, we would like to add more of them to the game, especially for Hunters and Titans. Keep an eye out for the future!
It did seem a little weird Warlocks got the fun shit. What other families of Exotics are there though? Obviously, there’s the Black Armory exotics, and I suppose the Fighting Lion and Eriana’s Vow are a cute little thing.
Bummer that we’re getting eruption again after they switched to it last time. It’s my least favorite iron banner.
The buff to threadlings coming is good to hear though.
