Butter. I use rice as a way to transport butter into my mouth.

Amazing. My toddler does think that butter is its own food group so would probably work. 🤣

Chicken teriyaki, or just stir fry of all sorts.

Over easy eggs and caramelized onion over day old rice is some of my favorite comfort food. Or garlic rice and eggs. Maybe some red hot dogs and banana ketchup on the side if I have 'em.

Get a steak and cut it yourself. This shouldn’t be hard but requires a bit of patience.

I usually get some from the local Asian food market, from the butcher or at the grocery store and cut it down myself. Some grocery stores will cut it for you as well, but if you need to pick up some meat and cut it yourself it isn’t hard if you’re careful. The nice thing is that it’ll work with with basically anything

One of this days I will find where to buy in my country dashi or kombu and bonito flakes (or dehydrated bonito) to make this dish.

My country sucks. It also severely lacks an Asian population to have an Asian store, that sells Asian goods. The last part is probably more important than the first point, but both relevant all the same.

I’m not sure what it’s called… but you take a cup of hot rice, crack and egg in it, stir it up, and add soy sauce and sesame seeds to taste. The heat from the hot rice will cook the egg a little. And the dish is only good if the rice is still hot from the stove top.

I think they eat it in Japan as a breakfast food. It’s like Japanese porridge.

I’m vegan now… so no eggs for me. This is the only non-vegan food I miss sometimes.

It might be called Mata? But I’m not sure.
