Having issues commenting on this particular topic https://lemmy.world/post/13572
When I hit the submit button, it just spins. I first tried a couple hours ago, and a few times since then. I can post in other threads in that community and elsewhere.
Using IceRaven/Firefox on Android.
Also I noticed that the cross post link is https://lemmy.anji.nl/post/9254 and that’s the instance from where the poster is. Could there be some interoperability issue? (That instance doesn’t seem to have any public content that I can see.)
Speaking of which, how does it work exactly when people make topics and comments on different instances… What happens when one of them goes down, gets unfederated etc.?
I had the same problem with the topic you linked. Apparently it lets you post if you select a language? Dunno if that’s a setting or a bug, but either way it really needs to give some sort of feedback.
Hi. I just noticed this post. Yeah that’s my personal instance which I use to interact with the “Lemmyverse”. I also have no idea what went wrong with https://lemmy.world/post/13572 … My best guess is it’s some kind of incompatibility issue between Lemmy versions which caused this post to bug out.
Maybe we could go to your instance and see if we can post/comment there.
Also o hey replying to comment works.
I think I should probably upgrade my Lemmy version. It’s too bad YunoHost (a free server management software) doesn’t support the latest version of Lemmy yet. Maybe I’ll spend some time setting up Mastodon and Lemmy again without it…
