As stated in the title mark as read on scroll is not working and has never worked for me. Even on boost for reddit it never really worked. Anyone have any advice?

The parameters being used changed with some recent Lemmy version. Fixed for the next version!

Has never worked for me either. Not for Lemmy and has never worked for reddit either. I do have show read posts off in my settings and it still doesn’t work.

Yep, I show read posts turned off now and it still doesn’t work. Mine also never worked on reddit.

It worked for me perfectly from release until a couple of days ago. Ads started appearing in the app around the same time it stopped working, so perhaps they’re affecting how it works? I dunno.

If I click the tick to denote a post is read, it’ll disappear. And posts still dim during scroll as if the app knows they’re read but just isn’t hiding them anymore.

They don’t even dim for me.

Same, broken here. It’s my most wanted feature. I’m on galaxy z fold 3.

Works for me. Go into account settings and disable show read posts.

Doesn’t work for me either, despite having ‘show read posts’ disabled.

Weird, I just checked again since I normally have it off and it is working for me. I have enabled Mark post as read, mark post as read on scroll, dim read post, and under account settings show read post disabled. This is on a pixel 6.

I’ll give that a try and see what happens.
