I took some photos a while back on an adventure to Aldershot because I enjoy seeing dead malls and places that are going abandoned.

This is the shopping center. Unfortunately it was blocked off but through the gate I got a really great photo of the eerie liminal space beyond!

    I used to love a photo of an unoccupied bench, dont know why. I have taken loads of photos of them

      it’s strange, baring in mind this was a few years ago but at the time I visited they had 1 side closed off to the public. Effectively the dead side with no shops or anything and only one small portion of it left that seemed to be very active.

      I have deep facination for places on the cusp of abandonment. Another one I visited was the Swindon Tented Market. From my childhood I remember it being an incredible place but when it closed it was just empty. With nothing in it.

      It’s a shame, places have a lot of potential to be community spaces but they opt to just let it die…

      Right?! Think that one was in Basingstoke? Festival Place iirc.

      That said Basingstoke and Aldershot sorta have similar vibes to me.
