Google’s AI Chatbot Is Trained by Humans Who Say They’re Overworked, Underpaid and Frustrated::(Bloomberg) – Google’s Bard artificial intelligence chatbot will answer a question about how many pandas live in zoos quickly, and with a surfeit of confidence. Most Read from BloombergTesla Investor Rode a 14,800% Gain Thanks to 27-Year-Old AnalystSingapore Passport Is World’s Most Powerful, Replacing JapanMassive US Oil Caverns Sit Empty and Will Take Years to RefillMeet the Billionaire Who Convinced Messi to Pick MLS Over Saudi ArabiaWall Street Gets New ETF Offering 100% Downside ProtectionE
Btw for those wondering what is up with the post formatting, it’s a post bot.
This community already has so many duplicate article posts it’s unreal. What I don’t understand is ehat they gain from this. Karma is non-existent, no one is going to check your account’s reputation or whatever.
I think that’s instance and app dependent. Some will show an aggregate, others won’t. At least from what I’ve seen.
It’s not marked as a bot?
Edit: nvm, just Voyager that doesn’t show it or let’s you block bots yet.
The way I know is that L4s is a known bot in the community, he maintainer actually commented a post unmade last night about the bots confirming it which was nice
Tried Bard. It was fairly impressive with its image recognition, identifying the breed of my dog, but then confidently making up things like “he has very beautiful light blue eyes” (they’re brown) and “white feet” (feet weren’t visible).
Prompted further on things it continued to make stuff up and proclaiming it with confidence, but at least it didn’t try to gaslight me when I pointed out that it was wrong.
Basically, these products aren’t ready. People will view them as a source of information, which they’re not. They’re fancy text completion, not more.
I wonder why it seems that workers at the biggest companies are often treated poorly.
When you start inquiring how some of those companies had gotten so big, you realize that if violating human rights wasn’t such a big deal they would’ve done that too. (Although, to be fair nowadays they just export it to a country that doesn’t see it as a problem)
Because that’s just how capitalism works…

I just don’t get it. While it’s eased up a bit, we’re still in one of the hottest labour markets of all time. If your job sucks that much, just quit.
People make arrangements based on their jobs, they move closer to their workplaces, place their children in schools that are near, etc. You can’t just uproot your entire life and move across the country because you feel overworked and underpaid, if it was that easy everyone would’ve done it.
Oh and the more simple answer, a lot of people live paycheck to paycheck, are tied to their working visas or something similar.
Basically, shit ain’t simple.
