While I agree in general, we are already past the stage where we can avoid irreversible damage. Now it’s only the choice between catastrophic damage that will kill millions and apocalyptic damage that will kill billions.
There are still different amounts of harm, and some things can still be much worse than others. We are not without agency.
Don’t adopt learned helplessness as a strategy, because it’s suicidal to do so.
I’m not saying we should do nothing, we definitely shouldn’t. But we also shouldn’t expect some miraculous solution that makes everything whole again.
