But lemmy.world is not even my instance, and it’s working fine for me, so far. Both the full URI and the !-mention do the same thing for me.

I have no interest in moderating such a community. I’ve been doing my best to limit the amount of political things I’m exposed to, and that would go against my goal.
What you want is not what you’re asking. You want less politics, judging by the other replies. People here will not give it to you, as furiously political circlejerking is part of Lemmy etc from its inception
