    The big problem with these situations is that’s there’s no “safeword”. There’s no out. She may have consented going into it, but there’s no way for her to withdraw that consent.

        You are assuming that her saying “no” would be respected. These are the people that don’t believe that spousal rape is a thing.

            It tends to be very hard to leave a relationship when you don’t have access to your own money, transportation, and housing, especially if you’re going to try to take the gaggle of kids with you. Physical violence is not the only means of control in abusive relationships.
