I wish we lived in a world where it mattered that he contradicted himself. Instead we live in a world where the most rabid Republicans all wrote down an insane wishlist they want to force into policy and trump clearly is 100% tied to it too to bottom. Yet for any supporter who cares it’s enough for them if he says he wasn’t involved. I cannot think of any of the objectively anti-human things he’s done which a supporter called him for. It’s possible that his would-be assassin was the only case of anything remotely like that.
