      Starving children separated from their parents aren’t an issue, in fact that’s the desired outcome.

      Or maybe they (or some of them) might understand the difference, but they know best not to study the underlying cause of a problem. Possibly because the measures required to address the source of the issue would go against their priorities.

    Fighting an argument with nuance is a losing battle. Just say Trump and the GOP are lying, say migration is down, and that the GOP doesn’t want to work on real solutions because they like the fact that this unresolved issue fires up voters.
