Season 2 had some good highs but didnt stack up to 1 imo. Unfortunate it is ending how it is but think it is for the best.

They ended up making is more about drama who fucked who instead of rues addiction storyline which was very real and well written (initially)

Season 1 was a fantastic story and high quality TV.

Then COVID hit and they did two specials, the first of which was perfect and the second of which, featuring Schafer, was great.

Season 2 was a step down and Schafer’s character suffered a bit, but apart from a few missteps overall did a pretty good job.

Unfortunately the best storyline from season 2 is now impossible to follow up on in Season 3 with the death of Angus McCloud.

I think they should make one more special, keep the cast small and/or just have Rue (Zendaya) explain what happens to the other characters. I think Schafer’s appearance is a must, but it can be a quick appearance.

Never watched an episode because I always thought of it as a teen drama. Kind of like unclothed that used to be on MTV after midnight. Out of curiosity is Zendaya any good or is it just hype around her? Same with sydney as she said in her SNL hosting stint that people just want to see my boobs and held up a card.

I only knew of Zendaya from Spider-Man Homecoming (where she has a small role) and Far From Home (where she has a regular role) so I went into Euphoria with little expectations.

I figured it was a CW-style teen drama, but you get bored during a pandemic so I figured what the hell I’ll give it a shot.

        It is a fantastic show.

Zendaya does a fantastic job, as does Sydney Sweeney. Honestly everyone in the show is great.

It’s a show about drugs, but realistic. Yes, drugs can be fun. But also drugs can completely ruin your life and the life of those around you. Drugs can be scary.

It’s also a show about sex and about how younger generations learn about sex. I can’t speak on behalf of the Gen Z that the show represents, but as a Millennial I learned a lot about sex from the Internet, this continues to explore that. And yes there is nudity, it’s a show about sex. Is there maybe a little more nudity than is strictly needed, maybe, but I think it generally makes sense.

I also want to say that while it’s a “real” show, it’s also an overly dramatic show. The show depicts drugs and sex as a constant everyday thing for these high school students. As far as I know high school students aren’t doing every type of drug under the sun at a rave and having sex every school night. But it’s a TV show. It’s a dramatization.

The first episode is going to set the tone, if you watch it don’t like it, the show isn’t for you. If you do, you’ll enjoy the series. And if you do watch, don’t skip the COVID specials. The Rue one is technically the first one, but the order doesn’t matter, as long as you watch them.

There’s like half a dozen 20 year olds who got very famous from this show and now they’re all too famous and busy to keep doing it. Seriously, I find reviews on Letterboxd all the time that are like “(lead actress) my beloved” and I have no idea who they are and then it turns out they were in Euphoria.
