How come I can't see sertin communites? Like asklemmy. and if this is because I get banned how do I protest it or even see what I got banned for?

You got banned from asklemmy for spamming US election news to the wrong community.

It’s in the mod log, on the Lemmy.world website at the bottom of the page click modlog then filter the user to you.
