I love Mothra so fucking much. The New Empire might get shit among my friend group but my daughter and I loved it.
That movie was a complete mess, but it was roughly what I expected it would be. I don’t resent Wingard’s tenure at the helm, but I kind of hope he’s done tbh.
Eh, I got all my monster fight scenes out of it, and my bois are both kings. I dont want them for much more than what they are.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be picking up the Blu-ray so I can watch it multiple more times through the coming years. My mind just felt like spaghetti after seeing it in theaters for how all over the place it was. I’ll take any and every Godzilla movie I can get though. I’ve been enjoying the hell out of the past decade with how active the franchise has been.
Its been absolutely bangin’. The films aren’t without their problems, but they know what itches need scratching. Legendary has made a really cool setting and Toho is on a revival spree with Shin and Minus One. Really liking these 1-2 punches.
I don’t want to think about the mechanics involved there.

In the original Toho Studios movies is referred as male. Still, love is love 🤷♂️.
