Until this video I’d never heard of a scotch yoke engine. I know this is car enthusiast not engine enthusiast or engineering enthusiast so I’m not sure if anyone else will like this. But I sure do!

How’d they overcome the efficiency loss issues at TDC and high friction issues at the crank?
The video doesn’t address that, and I wasn’t smart enough to think of it. It’s a great question.
