Gotta love how the whole strip is about O’Brien but it’s still a dig at Wesley.
This was something like in Discovery that maybe I missed.
Stamets is needed to go to a chamber and plug in to activate their mycelium drive. The captain is seen in almost every episode saying “Black Alert” and the ship jumps immediately.
Yet Stamets isn’t shown standing for hours in his mycelium chamber waiting for a jump order like O’Brien waiting for a transport command.
Just once I was expecting, “Black Alert”, then a long pause where nothing happens, followed by some communication where the Captain discovers Stamets is in the bathroom.
They call that situation a Brown Alert.
That would have been hilarious, and honestly, a pretty effective way of showing how being the only one that could jump the ship was really bad for him. I do think though, most of the time, when they were doing things, he would have been at his post, so it’s just a short walk
Wishing he was back on the Rutledge.
“At least Maxwell let me buffer people in my down time…”
“Really? A man with your kill count?”
Oh he still does that.
It’s not O’Brien’s fault. Picard and Wesley were off together in a shuttlecraft.
