Why Do Nonwhite Georgia Voters Have To Wait In Line For Hours? Too Few Polling Places

West Virginia is this on steroids. Poorer, more rural counties are functionally excluded from the election infrastructure while polling places are concentrated in the handful of urban centers where the state’s middle and upper class reside.

You’ll find similar dynamics in states like Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Mississippi. By all means, I hope folks in West Virginia can beat this stacked deck. But people need to stop pretending elections in these states are simple, objective popularity contests.

It really shows how far right our state’s politics are. With rural voters getting the shaft you would expect things to lean more democrat but the opposite is true. Trump won West Virginia by 30% last election. It’s absolute insanity here.

A state where the choice was republican or republican that sometimes votes with democrats, now with an actual choice this time?

There will be a name on the ballot but it’s meaningless. Manchin was the only center right candidate capable of winning national office here. Expect nothing but far right from us until the country collapses.

That would be amazing. I’ll be voting again. It would make my fucking decade going into work the day after we vote blue in the EC 😂
