The Omsktransmash defense plant, which produces tanks and Solntsepek flamethrowers, caught fire in Omsk
Omsk Region Governor Vitaly Khotsenko said that the roof of one of the workshops caught fire during repairs. He added that the fire had already been extinguished and no one was hurt. The company’s press service said that the roof caught fire and “the incident did not affect the production process.”
Omsktransmash is part of the Uralvagonzavod concern and carries out defense orders, among other things. In particular, the enterprise produces T-80BVM tanks and Solntsepёk flamethrower systems, notes the BBC Russian Service.
