What are you drinking? I had a whiskey sour with Jameson at a bar, as part of our “world’s slowest bar crawl” we’ve been doing, trying all the bars at a local shopping and dining center. Pretty good. The place had a very good playlist though, when we walked in they were playing Joy Division, then Vampire Weekend, then Boz Scaggs! It was all over the place but good.

Jameson old fashioned is my jam. Just started drinking a few years ago, but it’s already a favorite drink.

Hard seltzer. Blueberry I think? I’m one and done tonight, long week and I want to be productive tomorrow.

I’ve recently been having trouble understanding why I give up 5 days for work and get two days to myself and not the other way around.

“blueberry, I think” sounds like one of those satirical La Croix flavors, “sat next to a banana”, or “memory of strawberry”

I’ve been drinking my way through Jeff Berry’s books (Tiki drinks). My favorite so far is the Tiger Shark. 2oz each, white & gold puerto rican rum, lime juice, pineapple juice, and simple syrup. Shaken and poured over crushed iced with optional 151 proof demerara rum.

Whiskey with a whiskey float! I don’t usually like old fashioned but that actually sounds good. The soda water would help me taste it, not just be overwhelmed with sweet and booze.

It’s really good. The soda gives it a wonderful mouthfeel, and the float makes for a great smokey finish.

Oh heck yeah. That sounds like something I would like.

I’m a sucker for variations of French 75s and this honestly sounds similar.

Ran out of lime juice, so I’ve been making some poor man’s margs with mango tequila, triple sec, and pineapple/coconut seltzer water. I have no idea what you’d even call this drink, but it hits the spot.

Wrapping it up with a sidecar variation.

    2oz cognac (ABK6)

    1oz Giffard Abricot

    1 oz Heirloom Pineapple Amaro

    1oz lemon juice

Shaken. I had one, then a half one, that’s it for the week, back to work tomorrow. Really delicious, cognac and apricot really have an affinity.
