People on Reddit are saying the battery life on 18.1 is hit or miss. For me, right after I upgraded I noticed that the icons for all my Control Center shortcuts are busted and the hearing accessibility button keeps reappearing even after I remove it.
I regret trying the beta at this time.
I want to see battery comparisons before and after each new Apple intelligence update. Extra battery life was a big emphasis of the 16 line up, but is that because AI is expected to just negate those gains eventually?
Every update always has an impact on your battery life. An iPhone’s battery life is highly dependent on software tricks and background management systems that sleep and terminate processes without you knowing, based on the app and your usage of it. Updates throw a lot of “known” information out of wack and it takes awhile for your phone to sort it out again. This is not even counting the fact that there might just be bugs causing apps to use more battery than they should be when you’re using beta versions of iOS.
I am not seeing this in settings. Also 18.1 is not available for me. Anyone know whet TechCrunch is talking about?
Have you joined the public beta?
I have been unable to find where to do that so far
