They need to add, “Surrenders”. I’d be happy to see that number steadily climbing.

I’ve seen it mentioned by posters here that the personnel numbers include deaths, injured, and surrendered. FWIW that’s not something I ever bothered to look into so I don’t know for sure if it’s true or not.

If anyone knows for sure and can confirm or deny it would be appreciated.

Death and injured for sure. Though Russia’s medial care is bad enough many injuries turn to deaths. And those who are survive a serious injury (ie missing arm) are reportedly sent to meat assaults and likely to be dead in the near future.

These artillery systems numbers are shockingly high. By my informal eye, even with towed artillery it is looking like close to 1000 artillery pieces a month and possibly higher!

It has typically been 60/day for months. The last few days has been around 30/day, so we might just be catching up on some destroyed but not counted before. Or Ukraine might have got a bunch.

Russia has a lot of old Soviet gear in storage. They can refurbish those at current rates for another year or more. Of course they are getting into WWII designs (manufactures in the 1950s). So while I cheer every artillery destroyed, it realistically doesn’t make much a difference for the near future, though in 6 months or a year Russia will run out of those and then they will have problems.

Ukraine’s recent hit of an ammunition storage likely destroyed several months of artillery shells though and if so that will make a large difference.
