I do weekly baking challenges and decided to do Cincinnati chili since it’s not a true regional delicacy unkess people argue about it anytime it is brought up. My friends have lived here in NW Ohio for 3 years and mever tried Skyline, so i brought it over to them. I forgot the oyster crackers, and they were hesitant to put the full mountain of cheese, but over all they enjoyed it.

Cheese definitely needs finer shredding. I usually just grab a block and use the smaller shred holes on my box grater, that’ll get you a nice light pile of cheese.

How did you make the sauce?

I used this recipe, including the ounce of dark chocolate. Chilled it over night in the fridge, scraped off the grease layer, and then reheated th chili on the stove while i boiled the noodles.

As someone who moved to Cincinnati for a few years and then moved away, Cincinnati chili is god awful. I tried it multiple times, but it’s absolutely wild to me that people pay money for it.

Maybe if I grew up with it I’d like it before knowing how horrible it is compared to pretty much every other kind of spaghetti. But no, it’s just crappy sweetness on noodles with a huge pile of cheese on top 🤮

Do you bake your spaghetti on a pan? ಠ_ಠ

Edit: shit, I just saw your other post with the photo of you making the spaghetti from scratch and laying it on the pan. Makes so much more sense now.

I just tried my first Rheinegeist Truth! I like it! Brought a bunch home to share with people.
