in the Escher museum in Netherlands you realize he didn’t paint his works. he carved them by hand in reverse into wood blocks for lithographic reproduction runs -and without calculator.

Always love a good Escher. Growing up I had a book of all his works.

I think the tesselation of angels and demons is one of my favorites.
