Girlfriend asked for a cocktail with no specific preference and we had leftover lillet blanc in the fridge so I wanted to see what I could do with it. I can see why this is called corpse reviver because it hits strong despite it seeming like a cute pink drink.

Recipe found online, not sure how accurate it is but it’s what I used:

  • 1 part lillet blanc
  • 1 part cointreau
  • 1 part gin
  • 1 part lemon juice
  • ultranaut

That’s a #2, the superior corpse reviver. If you try to order this without the 2 you are likely getting a different drink.

For sure, I’d even say its not quite a #2 without it. Or if I ordered it from a decent bar where things are done competently, I’m going to expect it.

Gotcha, absinthe was one of those things I haven’t gotten around to yet and wasn’t sure how important it was to the drink

It’s mostly for aroma since it’s just a rinse but really adds a lot of depth

I ended up making this drink over the weekend and it was really good! I used the recipe on liquor.com which includes the absinthe rinse. This will go into my rotation for sure. Thanks for the rec!
