It might seem difficult, but it’s never too late to go back to school as a 40 year old in your underwear! We believe you in you! Even if you don’t make it I’ll bet you end up with some kind of certificate or cool title…

Or will you lie awake with your eyes closed for an hour?

9 times out of 10 I don’t sleep when I try. If I do sleep it is because I’m exhausted and I wake up feeling worse than when I went to sleep.

When I was younger though, I could nap half a day if I wanted. Depression! The nap maker!

Now that I’m not depressed I barely sleep.

I take 30 minute naps on my lunch breaks all the time . Sometimes I wake up a little confused but it is refreshing. I also work from home so I’m sleeping in my own bed . Also having a newborn any extra sleep is appreciated.

Naps are not recommended by sleep psychologists if you are someone who has trouble falling asleep at night anyway, unless you are extremely fatigued, and in those cases, the earlier in the day the better so you can recharge your sleep drive before night.

But yeah, I too wish I could give myself an actual refresh during the day with a siesta, but alas no.

I am not a sleep psychologist and this isn’t medical advice, second-hand info.

My sleep schedule I’ve been doing for years now is to sleep maybe 4-5 max hours at night and take a 20 minute nap after work.

For me, it will always be four hours and I will somehow wake up with the driest mouth on the planet.

I can’t go to sleep if I don’t set an alarm, due to worrying about oversleeping lol

A buddy used to do that when we had practise. We’d meet at 6pm and he’d take a nap at like 4pm and then text us around 7 to 8pm, when we’d be finished already, that he napped lol

Now try doing it when you work from home.
