So this looks another “heroes of the pandemic” situation with companies making record profits and stiffing workers.

If anyone else is interested in the negotiating position of the union without the loaded language most corporate news outlets distort the narrative with, this seems to be them directly:

Solidarity with the longshoremen instead of retailers fucking over other workers.

I bet if they get appropriately compensated this problem goes away.

So you’re saying there’s nothing that can be done?

Oh no, not the poor corporations! Whatever will we do?!

Just kidding we all know they’re going to use the cooling off period and then block the strike again. If workers actually had rights the stock market line might go down.

Oh no, another excuse to price gouge and then enjoy the new price floor once the market conditions no longer raise their costs.

Things will be more expensive this Xmas due to shipping via air.

Love how the article conflates the union’s actions with armed paramilitary resistance to imperialism. Really shows you beneath the mask.

Also love the hilarious passive voice used throughout. Maybe if the strike poses such a threat to the global economy and billions of dollars in damages, just maybe we should fucking pay them more?

Keep voting Dem, keep getting shit on by their capitalist masters.
