WOW’s website claims it’s on in my area Sunday at 1:00pm, and that threw me off, because it’s normal timeslot here is Sunday at 12:00pm.
I checked and 12:00pm is now “Paid Programing”, and 1:00pm is “The Conners”. I haven’t scanned through the whole week yet, but I have a feeling it’s just “NXT is here now, WOW is no longer here.”
Anyone else able to still get WOW on their CW syndicate?
Edit: Turns out they changed the timeslot to Sunday at 2am. So…it does still exist. I wonder if they’re just letting the contract length run out, before they let it run out.
It’s now listed on the DirecTV Stream guide for my area as being on Saturday at 11PM on a CBS owned local “independent” channel.
Our local CW and CBS affiliates are owned by a 3rd party, which just seems weird considering CBS owns the so called independent station here.
If others report in, I imagine it will be similar, it is going to be moved to an affiliate that isn’t CW or just disappear from schedules. I’m of the opinion this proves WWE demands exclusivity in their TV deals.
Check my update. I got home from work and scanned the week.
Good news it isn’t gone, but the very least there seems to be some time slot shuffling happening. Which isn’t a big deal to me, I usually record it and watch it later anyway.
Our DirecTV doesn’t even have a CW. I’m gonna see if Peacock is still doing next day for NXT, but it’s about to the point that I’m having to pirate a majority of shit
Edit: they have removed the entire NXT library from Peacock to move it to CW. Raw is being removed in December for Netflix. SmackDown is staying. They can fuck right off if they think I’m paying 3 separate subscriptions. They already raised the fucking price on Peacock, just to remove content. Fuck that and fuck them. Now I’m not going to pay for any of it
Edit 2: I forgot to mention, they still have a section for NXT, and the first thing I fucking saw was spoilers from last night
