Frankly, fuck the “industry leaders” it used to be a bunch of small time to MAYBE medium sized owners, now it’s a bunch of corporate bastards at the top (the so called industry leaders) like so many other industries
I bet they’re all pissy because they aren’t getting their demands that probably have something to do like making it harder for small time people to get in on the industry
Bro they just want to be able to use basic banking shit and not have threat of federal raids supercede their states authority.
Yes, that’s what everyone wants, but the “industry leaders” are now multi-billion dollar companies
Guaranteed they also want subtle language in any such bills to make things harder for the average joe to break into the industry. That’s what they do, latch on to common things people want and twist things to benefit them
The industry can fuck off then. Do we really need to go into how the GOP feels about marijuana legalization?
It’s weird to me that the tobacco companies hadn’t managed to bribe the GOP into legalization of marijuana a couple decades ago or more as smoking cigarettes became a taboo.
Weed is cheap, less addictive (physically at least) and a lot easier to grow yourself. While they’ll move over when the writing is on the wall I think they’d rather stick with child friendly bubblegum flavored tobacco vapes.
