Once Voyager got back to the Alpha quadrant and their mission logs processed, that Flyswatter and tank top probably became SOP for any future encounters with macroscopic viruses.

Security Officer: Captain LaForge, there is an outbreak of macroscopic viruses aboard. Orders, sir?

LaForge: You go to the armory and break out the Flyswatters, and I’ll grab the tank tops.

Security: Are you sure the tank tops are strictly required to counter this?

LaForge: It says so right here in the Starfleet manual. And I’ll tell you one other thing: I won’t trust my life to this crop top.
