F-150 was originally quoted to be 40k. The debut price was 68k.
How about a small, cheap, electric car? Am I insane here, I have no use for a pickup and like being able to park.
There are several small, affordable electric cars on the market already. Affordable electric pick-up doesn’t exist.
Also, a mid-size pickup fits into a normal parking slot just fine.
The Maverick could easily be turned into an EV. They have chosen not to. A platform that retailed for 20k just 2 years ago, a perfect small truck.
They instead, have chosen to raise the price so that the truck I bought for 23k 2 years ago, now costs the same as a Ranger.
All this talk to brag they’re gonna match the “price structure” (whatever that means) of a vehicle that starts at $53,400 by 2027.
What a joke.
