AMC Networks has rolled up BBC America, paying $42 million in cash for full control of the cable network a decade after making a minority investment.
Might as well rename it since it has very little to do with BBC programming at this point. Not sure why AMC is sinking money into a dying cable network.
Aube ownership of shows for streaming services. Disney did well that way.
What shows does BBC America own? They used to show content licensed by BBC. Now all they show is wrestling and Star Trek. They own none of these.
Does that mean the next season of Doctor Who is gonna be companioned by big-titted blonde? Or doctor solve problem with guns? Either way I like where it’s going.
Community saw it coming.
So, like, Rose?
Oooh, moisturize me, moisturize me!
He’s been solving problems with guns. It’s just that he’s managed to pull the trigger without getting his hands on it.
For the big-titted blonde, we had it in the very first season of the remake.
I understand that he takes ordinary people and fashions them into weapons
And sometimes, they’re people with guns, big guns even.
Like Captain Jack!
Didn’t he get the help of a Dalek at some point?
Sometimes we all need a little help from our mortal enemies
That really doesn’t seem like that much on the surface of things, but the more I think about the more I can’t really imagine what kind of assets BBC America has. So what are they really buying?
