Unfortunately, being stuck in the USA means I cannot access the interesting Chinese EV models coming out. If I have a great distaste for all things Elon, what is there left that is even worth considering? Kona?

      Seconding this. I have a 2022 EV6 and it’s been a fantastic car.

Nice, I’ve been wondering how it compares to the Chevrolet Blazer EV and Honda Prologue, and the Hyundai Ioniq 5,

Mach-e, kia, ioniq 5, Chevy bolt, some of the luxury brands as well. It really depends on what you’re looking for. What do you want?

i’m interested too, specifically in ones that have actual physical knobs, dials, and buttons for climate control and media interface. these fucking touch screens are a goddamn disaster. i need to be able to navigate the controls without actually looking at them, by FEELING them without necessarily activating them at every stray touch, for fucks sake.

Chevy Equinox and Blazer EVs have a decent amount of physical controls for climate and at least volume IIRC.

A friend of mine got a Polestar 2 and she’s been absolutely loving it. I’m considering one myself at some point.

Just reading up on it now… Found this: Polestar 2’s current production and parts sourcing, it is ineligible for Inflation Reduction Act tax incentives if you purchase it, but it’s still eligible if leased.

I know it’s not an BEV but I just purchased a Prius Prime and it’s a really good fit for my personal situation.

I work in vehicle testing as well and have gotten to drive some things. Lucids are fun if you can afford them. They’re a little janky but that’s pretty typical for startups. There’s also the BEV3 platform vehicles (BlazerEV/Lyric/Prologue/ZDX). I don’t personally have experience with those vehicles but I have heard good things from colleagues who had.

I’m aware but I got the impression OP was asking about BEVs only, hence the disclaimer

I’ve clarified my language a little
