I legit thought this was a game screenshot at first. Idk what they’re doing but that painting has depth.
I don’t see the illusion
Look at the path the man in the left foreground is standing on and follow it to the right… See where it passes the trees in the valley down which the children are sledging?

Further confusing me was the fact the very next post in my feed was this one.
I’m enjoying the fact that this Gonsalves piece is a little more subtle and elusive compared to his other stuff.
It’s also some purely enjoyable art for me, particularly in the way that various foreground-to-background elements are distinctly framed for the viewer to appreciate. You don’t often see that no matter how miraculous the piece!
