Removing this per rule #2 - it is indeed sexist and encourages stereotypes. Feel free to rephrase and ask again.

For those who shared your thoughts and called out why this was problematic, thank you. I’m not always sure how to best handle something like this and your input helps.

I surely have encountered “Karen’s”, but I really dislike that way of thinking of others people. Most of those that label others as Karen’s are lacking empathy and or skills how to deescalate, which I find is sad

      “Karen’s”

Just FYI, friend, the apostrophe is a punctuation mark used only to denote possession or missing letters - never plurals, even for proper nouns.

I think that might be part of it, but it think it’s also rooted in sexism. I think people might be intimidated by angry men, whereas they are willing to confront and shame angry women

Edit: lol, I triggered a stalker elsewhere on Lemmy. They made multiple accounts so that everything I comment gets to -5 within minutes

I asked a woman for ID once… at a liquor store. She freaked out at me lol. She said she was clearly of age

She had signed her credit card “see ID”

Edit: idk if people do that any more, this was back in the day ig
