How do you get such good scans
There’s a website that posts daily Calvin and Hobbes strips that are all high quality digital scans. I wouldn’t be surprised if OP is getting his strips from there.
GoComics has average quality at best. You gotta sail the seas if you want to find a good quality scan of the comics. You also have to be discerning about which seas you sail, because there’s a bunch of them that are literally just rips from gocomics.
Although, gocomics does have the only official version, so if you wanna support Watterson, you just have to suffer the quality they use.

If my 9 year old had striped pants, and polka dotted shirts, he’d dress like this on purpose. As it stands, he wears his shirts backwards and has no sense of matching anything.
I’m 40 years old and my wife still corrects my color-matching choices for outfits. And I’m not colorblind or anything, I just like certain colors, regardless of whether they blend well with each other or not. If your kid is not doing it intentionally, he might just have no sense of color-coding outfits.
He probably doesn’t. He just wears whatever suits his fancy at the moment. Sometimes I feel like he does it because it’s different. He’s that type of kid. 😂
