    Why? and the What if?

Why did it fall? You pushed it. Why? I don’t know why you pushed it? Why did it fall down? Do you mean gravity? Why does gravity make things go down? and on and on

now some of them moving onto what if…

    and I love this

I am scared, there might be a ghost. There is no ghost, we made sure there is no ghost. What happens if there is a ghost? IDK, maybe we could call ghostbus- Ghostbusters aren’t real. So glad I got called out then because I was ready to pull my hair out

Believing in ghosts but not ghostbusters. Children make such terrifying mind prisons for themselves.

I do the same thing with my child, except I try to be as accurate as possible, to the point of boredom, and she usually ignores my answer and asks another unrelated question. I tried to use the term “Rayleigh Scattering” on a 9 y/o. It didn’t exactly sink in.

Didn’t work with our 3 year old. Dad why does it get dark outside on the evening?

Me: Well this is the sun makes fist with left hand and this is our earth makes fist with right hand and it turns rotates right hand and now the point we are on earth is on the side where there is no light from the sun. Do you understand?

Him: yeah it continues to turn and in the morning we get sunlight again…

        I was pretty baffled
